The public record
Metro describes an approved 14.5-mile segment connecting the A Line at Slauson to a future Pioneer Station in Artesia. The project includes nine new light rail stations and a new infill station on the C Line at I-105.
The official project page lists the current phase as design and estimated completion as 2035. That is a planning estimate, not an operating service or a guaranteed opening date.
This is a regional Metro project. It is connected to the City’s adopted Downtown Specific Plan, but the rail project and the City’s land-use plan have different decision-makers, funding, and delivery milestones.
Residents can contact Metro’s project team at sgl@metro.net or 213-922-6262 and use the official project page for work notices and public updates.
Questions to keep following
- What work notices affect Artesia streets, businesses, and access?
- How will future station access connect with local walking routes and bus service?
- Which funding and construction milestones support the estimated opening date?
