PUBLIC RECORDS

Ask for the document
behind the decision.

The City accepts requests for public records through its official form. A specific, well-scoped request makes the record you want easier to identify.

Start with what is already published

Search the current agenda portal for meeting packets, staff reports, and minutes. For meetings before September 2024, the City provides a separate archive. The current portal and old archive are not interchangeable.

Be specific about the record

Include a project, date range, department, or agreement name. Ask for existing records rather than requiring staff to create a new analysis. For example, you might seek an executed construction agreement, its amendments, and related invoices for a named project.

A draft you can adapt

Your draft will appear here. It stays in this browser tab.

Creating or copying a draft does not submit it. Use the City’s form to send your request. No draft content is transmitted to Artesia Watch.
